Australia's Favorite White Humpback Makes A Rare Appearance

Australia's Favorite White Humpback Makes A Rare Appearance

What is so special about Migaloo?
Migaloo was the world's first documented white humpback whale.

Cite a few facts from the article that tell you how precious Migaloo is to the people of Australia.
Migaloo's is precious to the people of Australia because of his color, his color is caused by a genetic skin condition called albinism also known as achromia and achromasia.
Migaloo is his name which means white Fella

Why is Migaloo known as a 'hypo-pigmented' humpback? is he the only one?
The people have been unable to confirm it with scientific evidence so they therefore refer to him as a 'hypo-pigmented' humpback.
Oskar Peterson from Australia's White Whale Research Center speculates that he may be the same white whale the center received notification of, in 1988. If true, it would mean that Migaloo is 26-years-old. Given that the mammals can live up to 80 years
